We are working with a specialist London Market insurance business looking to appoint a Senior Insurance Operations Associate into a growing operational function. This is a varied and hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership, working with complex insurance data, improving processes and acting as a key point of contact across multiple business areas. The position offers broad exposure across underwriting, finance, claims, reserving, technology and senior stakeholders, making it ideal for someone who wants more than a narrow processing role. You will be responsible for supporting the smooth running of key operational processes, ensuring data is accurate, controls are effective and reporting is delivered to a high standard. This will include oversight of month-end activity, reconciliations, sign-offs, regulatory and market reporting, delegated authority processes, bordereaux oversight, exception management and operational controls. The role will also involve identifying opportunities to improve existing processes, reduce manual activity, strengthen governance and support system or technology enhancements. You will work closely with colleagues across the business to resolve issues, improve data flows and ensure operational processes remain scalable as the business continues to grow. The successful candidate will have experience within the insurance market, ideally gained in an operations, delegated authority, underwriting operations, technical processing or business support environment. Strong Excel skills are essential, particularly around data analysis, reconciliations and reporting. Experience with Power Query, SQL, Python, Power BI or similar tools would be highly advantageous. This role would suit someone analytical, proactive and confident communicating with stakeholders at different levels. You will need to be comfortable investigating data, spotting issues, challenging existing ways of working and seeing tasks through from start to finish.
