Job Responsibility:

  • Define and execute the vision and strategy for the life insurance core system, including all modules such as policy administration, claims management, finance, reinsurance, commission, and actuarial data mart
  • Conduct comprehensive market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for product differentiation and feature improvements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architecture, development, testing, UX design, and sales, to develop and prioritize product features and enhancements
  • Drive the product development lifecycle from concept to final release, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality solutions
  • Collect and analyze customer feedback, market trends, and industry data to inform product decisions and roadmap planning
  • Author complete product specification documents, user stories, and acceptance criteria for the development team. Work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into actionable technical specifications
  • Manage product requirements and prioritize them based on business value and strategic alignment
  • Partner with marketing and sales teams to define go-to-market strategies and product positioning
  • Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in the insurance domain

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Applied Statistics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in life insurance product management, preferably in the InsurTech sector
  • Familiarity with life insurance product terms, life cycles, regulatory reporting processes, and data requirements for C-ROSS Phase II and IFRS 17
  • Proven experience successfully launching and managing enterprise software products, having gone through the full product lifecycle from conceptualization to end-user utilization
  • Proficiency in Agile development methodologies and product management tools
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Outstanding documentation skills, capable of translating business needs and concepts into structured documents, and the ability to create clear, logical, and interactive UI prototypes
  • Expert proficiency in prototyping tools and techniques, familiar with one or more tools such as Axure, Figma, or Sketch
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in both Chinese and English, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Highly responsible, positive, and optimistic, with a strong team spirit. Ability to maintain high productivity under significant work pressure
  • Detail-oriented, striving for perfection, with high standards and vision for product design
