Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Institutional Investment Operations Representative in Derivative Settlements.

Job Responsibility:

  • Providing support to Derivative clients across Rates, equities, credit, and commodity products
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development.
  • Collaborate with all business partners and various departments, create efficiencies and mitigate risk for team and organization
  • Leverage interpretation of policies, procedures and compliance requirements
  • Ensure confirmation of payments, processing of daily settlements as well as providing support to external and internal clients
  • Understands needs and sensitivities of internal and external clients and proactively ensures these are met
  • Partner with Technology to identify/resolve system issues and implement system enhancements to increase efficiency
  • Proactive in identifying potential issues, handling the same and escalating issues to senior management in a timely manner
  • Participate by leading & driving Organization wide initiatives within CIB
  • Drive learning Initiatives, Adherence to discipline, punctuality & compliance by the team and manage attrition.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of Institutional Investment Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • MBA or an advanced degree (or equivalent exp.)
  • Experience of 4 years in OTC Derivative Settlements domain which includes Pre-Confirmation, Post Confirmation, Reset advise and Clearing Settlements (LCH, CME and CLS)
  • Understanding about current Regulations and their impact on OTC market & settlements function
  • Ability to effectively communicate (written/verbal)
  • Ability to plan and organize workload within tight deadlines and meeting day-to-day objectives.
  • Should have good understanding of Derivative Rates, Equity, credit and commodity products
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build strong partnership with business stakeholders and other support functions
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage expectations and deliver on commitments
  • Strong knowledge of market settlement processes like Clearstream, Euroclear and LCH etc.
  • Perform process improvement and redesign - proactively identify, analyze and improve existing processes including leading process reengineering initiatives.
  • Should be competent in leading & managing transition of processes from other locations
  • Strong knowledge of US, European and Asian market settlement processes
