As a Senior Infrastructure Specialist, you will serve as a member of our Digital Manufacturing (DiM) team and provide strategic direction, establish best practices and deliver expert guidance to drive the effectiveness and reliability of mobile technologies that support Nestlé Purina’s manufacturing objectives. You will collaborate cross-functionally with other DiM, Engineering, Maintenance and Project Management team members as well as external vendors and IT/IS at the factory and corporate levels to optimize our mobile manufacturing infrastructure and provide technical expertise for our factories. In this exciting role, you will be at the forefront of improving existing systems as well as the integration of innovative technologies, including the development of resources and deployment of internal training and site-specific assistance required to successfully sustain and continuously improve these efforts.
Job Responsibility:
Coordinate with internal and external entities to evaluate and guide new highly available mobile solutions for the manufacturing environment
Achieve operational objectives by maintaining current systems and standards while also overseeing the evaluation, recommendation, testing and installation of new technology
Lead strategic planning for mobile infrastructure enhancements incorporating input and standards from factory operations to develop solutions that result in improved efficiency, quality and connectivity
Manage projects and budgets for the implementation and release of major updates and changes according to standards and specifications
Provide technical expertise and strategy on technologies such as, but not limited to JAMF, Microsoft Intune, SOTI, Workspace One and other mobility platforms
Provide technical expertise and strategy on Apple hardware for infrastructure and connected worker programs
Collect, analyze and summarize data and trends in new technologies for mobile and connected workers in a manufacturing setting to drive DiM strategies
Serve as the primary contact for all issues related to mobile infrastructure and associated technologies for internal and external entities outside of DiM
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field with 7+ years of experience in mobile infrastructure strategy, project management and technical support in a manufacturing, industrial, military or related environment
Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field with 10+ years of experience in mobile infrastructure strategy, project management and technical support in a manufacturing, industrial, military or related environment
High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 12+ years of experience in mobile infrastructure strategy, project management and technical support in a manufacturing, industrial, military or related environment
Must be willing to travel approximately 30% to meet business needs
Must be willing to participate in on-call rotation for factory support after business hours as needed
