  • Lead the design and delivery of complex software solutions that support database automation and self‑service capabilities across the enterprise
  • Act as a key contributor in establishing and evolving engineering standards and best practices for building scalable, reliable, and secure internal platforms and APIs
  • Design, develop, test, debug, and document backend services, automation tooling, and supporting frameworks
  • Analyze and evaluate complex technical challenges across a diverse enterprise environment, balancing scalability, reliability, security, and operational requirements
  • Provide hands‑on technical leadership through design reviews, code reviews, and mentoring of engineers within the team
  • Collaborate closely with database platform subject matter experts, infrastructure teams, SREs, and other engineering partners to translate operational needs into reusable automation and services
  • Influence technical direction and implementation decisions to ensure solutions meet long‑term strategic and operational goals

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 3+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
  • 3+ years of hands‑on PL/SQL development experience, including building packages, procedures, functions, and triggers, with a strong focus on debugging and performance optimization
  • 2+ years of experience working with Oracle Database, including architecture fundamentals, schema design, performance tuning, and issue resolution
  • 2+ years of experience applying object‑oriented design principles, such as classes, inheritance, and code reuse
  • 2+ years of experience using Git in a collaborative development environment, including pull requests and peer code reviews
  • 1+ year of experience developing applications using Python

Nice to have:

  • Oracle APEX experience, building and supporting data‑driven applications and administrative interfaces
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes using tools such as Jenkins and Jira (or equivalent platforms)
  • Experience writing automated unit and integration tests using tools such as pytest, with a strong focus on maintainable, high‑coverage testing
  • Experience working in Agile delivery teams using Scrum or Kanban
  • Experience developing internal tools or services that interact with or support database platforms
  • Experience with SQLAlchemy or similar ORM frameworks
  • Familiarity with infrastructure or configuration automation tools, such as Ansible
  • Experience with modern front‑end frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue) for internal tools or administrative interfaces
  • Experience partnering with infrastructure, SRE, or operations teams in an enterprise environment
