Take full ownership of a sophisticated Microsoft ecosystem in this high-impact 6-month contract with our Edmonton client. This role is tailor-made for a seasoned professional who enjoys technical autonomy and the opportunity to drive infrastructure improvements within a stable environment. Following an initial one-month onsite immersion to integrate with the team and systems, you will transition into a flexible hybrid schedule that balances collaborative work with independent execution.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and optimize the full Microsoft-based infrastructure stack to ensure peak performance
Administer and troubleshoot Fortinet security appliances and core networking components
Maintain and scale virtualization environments using VMware technology
Oversee Dell storage solutions to guarantee high availability and data integrity
Serve as the primary technical point of contact for all infrastructure-related projects
Identify and implement best practices to enhance system security and scalability
Drive technical solutions independently to meet project deadlines without constant supervision
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 to 10 years of dedicated experience in Infrastructure Engineering
Expert-level proficiency supporting a comprehensive Microsoft environment
Hands-on technical experience with Fortinet firewalls and networking configurations
Strong background in virtualization management specifically using VMware
Proven experience managing and maintaining Dell Storage hardware
