Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Information Security Engineer in Technology as part of the Secure Network Services, Firewall Development team supporting Wells Fargo's Firewall/Firewall Manager Automation processes. This role provides technical expertise in designing, developing, implementing, and managing automation solutions for Fortinet and Palo Alto Next-Gen Firewalls and Firewall Managers.

Job Responsibility:

Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions for Fortinet and Palo Alto firewalls and firewall managers using Python and Ansible
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and enhance firewall automation processes
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to firewall configurations and automation scripts
Administer and manage Fortinet and Palo Alto firewalls
Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and roles for firewall automation
Conduct technical investigations and root cause analysis
Review and optimize existing automation workflows
Mentor and guide junior engineers
Document automation processes and configurations
Support scheduled and emergency changes
Stay current with emerging technologies in firewall automation

Requirements:

4+ years of Information Security Engineering experience
3+ years of experience with Ansible and Ansible Automation Platform
3+ years of experience with Python for automation
3+ years of experience supporting and managing firewall technologies (Fortinet and/or Palo Alto)

Nice to have:

3+ years of experience with Palo Alto Networks technologies
3+ years of experience with Fortinet technologies
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git)
Proven ability to mentor junior engineers
Strong understanding of enterprise security policies, governance, and compliance requirements
