Boeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E) is currently seeking a Senior (Level 5) Industrial Engineer to join our team in Berkeley, MO. This Industrial Engineering role will work for the Test Operations & Engineering (TO&E) team. The TO&E organization leads a wide variety of BT&E activities with crucial work across all of Lab Test and Flight Test and collaborates frequently with BDS programs and production operations. We support several test capabilities such as structures, electromagnetics, aero, environmental and test beds, along with internal fabrication and assembly of test hardware and assemblies. We are seeking candidates who will use manufacturing operations knowledge and business sense to partner with cross functional teams from engineering, quality, supplier management, materials management, and program management to achieve organizational business goals and objectives. The Industrial Engineers assist in the stabilization of the testing environment, implement lean methodologies, assess test readiness requirements, as well as improve quality through root cause analysis and BPSM. Job Responsibility
Apply industrial engineering concepts, approaches and techniques to product, process and services to meet program requirements
Support the development of plant and equipment layouts, capacity plans, accident prevention measures, sequencing of operations and workflows
Evaluate new techniques and technological developments for integration into the production process and service operations
Design, maintain, and optimize the production system by integrating design, supply base, facilities, equipment, and personnel
Conduct work-flow design and analysis
Develop models, databases and spreadsheets to analyze data and provide summary analysis and metrics for consultation to leaders
Lead research, design, develop, improve, and implementation of processes and tools to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality, for large scale systems integration and asset utilization
Lead implementation plans and programs for facility/factory modifications and revisions to operating methods
Document work instructions and standardize work practices
Preparation of operations plans, including work statement analysis, budgeting and forecasts, capacity and constraint analysis and production change, to ensure technical goals and objectives are met
Execute planning by using project management, planning and scheduling and shop load practices
Provide production, supply chain logistics, performance visibility and recovery planning support
Follow compliance requirements with established industry safety, design standards and ergonomic guidelines
Lead metrics, data analysis, and improvement plans, related to our team's productivity, efficiency and first-time quality, including Lean+ events, 5S improvement plans, and/or special initiatives to improve organizational effectiveness
Requirements
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
14 or more years of experience in Industrial Engineering or similar role (i.e. Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, etc.)
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship
U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required
