Job Description

We have a new project open in the Netherlands, located in Eemshaven. Responsibilities for this position include the installation of plumbing (sanitary) systems, working with pressing tools, and handling both thin-walled and thick-walled piping in technical and residential parts of buildings. The work also involves drilling, installing support structures, and installing piping systems. It also includes replacing old PVC sewer systems. Reading technical documentation and working according to drawings is required, including layout of piping, sanitary equipment, and fittings. It also involves maintenance of existing plumbing systems during renovations, identifying faults, and repairing them. This is a long-term project planned until the end of 2026.

Job Responsibility

  • Installation of plumbing (sanitary) systems
  • Working with pressing tools

Requirements

  • An education at mid-level, preferably in shipbuilding
  • Must be in possession of a valid VCA or VCA-Vol certificate
  • Must be able to communicate with the employee in Dutch or English
  • Demonstrable work experience as a Ship Metal Worker
  • Experience with reading drawings, measuring and marking
  • Experience with tack welding, grinding and burning
  • Minimum education level: Secondary education without school-leaving exam
  • Language skills: English – intermediate (B1), or German – intermediate (B1), or Dutch – beginner (A2)
  • Driving licence: Category B
  • Work experience: 5 years in the field / position
