Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Independent Testing Specialist in Independent Testing & Validation (IT&V) as part of Corporate Risk. The Independent Testing & Validation team is responsible for the development and design of methodologies and standards for review activities across the Enterprise in alignment with the Risk Management Framework and ensuring effective and appropriate testing, validation, and documentation of review activities for risk programs, risks, and controls according to standards and other applicable policies. This position will be a data tester on the Remediation Validation ARDT team. They will be responsible for performing review of the code used for population waterfalls and data analytics for specific remediations. They need to be able to understand and explain what the code is doing and challenge any areas that are not appropriately documented in the code. Additionally, they need to be able to then re-execute the code in SQL / SAS and compare results to what was identified in the remediation in terms of the customer population and financial impact.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead or participate in moderate to high risk or complex review activities in a matrixed environment and communicate emerging risks to management within Independent Testing
  • Contribute to large scale planning related to Independent Testing deliverables
  • Review and research moderately complex potential corrective actions, and follow through on reporting, escalation, and resolution
  • Ensure effective and appropriate testing, validation, and documentation of review activities for risk programs and controls according to standards and other applicable policies
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead team to meet Independent Testing deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of risk management framework and the risk and control environment
  • Collaborate and consult with colleagues, internal partners, management and lines of business regarding risk management

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of Independent Testing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Experience with read and write code using SQL / SAS
  • Perform critical thinking and communicate review and challenge of code logic
  • Experience documenting testing results
  • Experience in Audit, Compliance, and Testing
  • Experience gathering, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets
  • ability to retrieve data from various information systems
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to research trends and analyze data
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability
  • Ability to summarize and recommend new strategies/solutions
