We are seeking a Senior Inclusive Support Coordinator to join our team. In this role you will play a key leadership role within the Inclusive Learning Support (ILS) team, providing operational oversight, quality assurance, and expert guidance across SEND, High Needs provision and Inclusive needs. You will manage and support the Inclusive Support Coordinators in Braintree, oversee aspects of ISP deployment, and work closely with the Assistant SENCO to ensure statutory compliance, high quality EHCP processes, and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders. Using strong knowledge of SEND practice, inclusive support models, and barriers to learning, the Senior Coordinator will ensure that learners with additional needs receive timely, appropriate, and impactful support that promotes independence, retention, and achievement.
Job Responsibility
Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance, and support to the Inclusive Support Coordinators in Braintree, ensuring consistent practice, high quality decision-making, and effective workload management
Communication - management of staff welfare and wellbeing
Engagement and resource - inspire and motivate staff including undertaking recruitment, lesson observations, performance reviews and setting targets and taking action as required
Employee Relations matters – Inform line manager of any concerns with staff discipline, capability, absence, grievance, investigations, and any other employee relations activity as may be required
Financial Resilience - effective budget management in line with company policy
Support the Inclusive Support Coordinators with recruitment, induction, and training of ISPs
Work alongside the Assistant SENCO to support the management of EHCP reviews, statutory consultations, and multi agency communication in Braintree
Quality assure Coordinator led assessments, transition planning, and support recommendations for learners with SEND, including those with complex needs or High Needs Funding
Requirements
Experience working with learners with SEND in FE
Experience coordinating or overseeing support provision
Experience line managing or mentoring staff
Experience of EHCP processes, reviews, or statutory consultations
Experience working with external agencies and parents/carers
Level 3 qualification or above in a related subject
Minimum of Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics GCSE 4+ or C or equivalent
