Job Description

Senior In-house Claims Solicitor role within a close-knit, highly regarded in-house claims function for a leading international NYSE Fortune 500 organisation. The role offers a varied caseload, greater commercial nuance, and accountability compared to traditional law firm claims teams.

Job Responsibility

  • Handle a varied caseload across multiple classes of business (Professional Indemnity, Cyber, Management Liability, Employers’ Liability, Public Liability)
  • Take real ownership of individual matters from notification through to resolution
  • Apply policy interpretation
  • Exercise judgement
  • Engage directly with stakeholders

Requirements

  • UK qualified solicitor
  • At least 3 years’ PQE
  • Detailed knowledge of policy wordings and their application, particularly in relation to Professional Indemnity, Cyber or Management Liability claims
  • Working knowledge of UK Retail wordings
  • Desire for greater autonomy, responsibility and commercial exposure
