Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Implementation Engineer with proven experience in Broadcom SDDC technologies. The successful candidate will lead the deployment, configuration, and support of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), NSX, vSphere, VSAN, and Aria solutions. The role requires deep technical expertise, strong critical thinking skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients. Over time, this position will expand to include other SDDC and HCI vendor solutions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead implementation phases for SDDC projects (initially Broadcom), mentoring junior engineers and ensuring best practice delivery
  • Deploy, configure, and support VCF, NSX, vSphere, VSAN, and Aria solutions in both greenfield and brownfield environments
  • Deliver implementations based on High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation for Broadcom SDDC technologies
  • Contribute to technical design workshops, providing expertise to Solution Architects and Project Technical Leads
  • Support pre-sales activities with technical SME input for SDDC and HCI opportunities
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for deployed environments
  • Execute and document client acceptance testing, knowledge transfer, and operational handover processes
  • Produce detailed project documentation and ensure smooth transitions to operational and support teams
  • Collaborate effectively with clients, internal project teams, and vendors throughout the project life-cycle

Requirements:

  • Proven hands-on experience deploying and supporting Broadcom SDDC solutions – VCF, NSX, vSphere, VSAN, and Aria Suite – preferably in a professional services environment
  • 5+ years experience as an Implementation Engineer or similar technical role with SDDC and/or HCI solutions (Broadcom and Nutanix experience highly desirable)
  • Strong knowledge of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF 4.x-5.x) with SME-level expertise in at least one component (vSphere, NSX, VSAN, or Aria Suite)
  • Familiarity with adjacent technologies such as VMware HCX, vCloud Director, SRM, or AVI
  • Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills
  • Strong technical skills in Windows or Linux operating systems
  • Data centre hardware installation experience (3-Tier, VSAN Ready Nodes, or VxRail)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively
  • Minimum 5 years professional services experience in SDDC / HCI implementations
  • Experience leading deployment projects and mentoring team members
  • Proven record of delivering quality technical solutions in customer-facing roles
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
  • VMware Certified Professional (required)
  • VMware Certified Advanced Professional (desirable)
  • Irish/EU Citizen or Stamp 4 Visa holder
