Job Description:

The Senior IBM ITXA Lead role involves leading the migration of Mainframe applications to software equivalent systems.

Job Responsibility:

  • Solutions and executes migration of Mainframe applications into software equivalent systems (rehosting)
  • Uses knowledge of Mainframe technologies like COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM, Assembler, DB2, IMS, files, etc to find the right solution to migrate off the Mainframe

Requirements:

  • 8+ years’ experience with Mainframe migrations
  • 5+ years with IBM ITX/ITXA (map design, type trees, rules, deploy)

Nice to have:

  • Hands-on migration experience from Mainframe Gentran (z/OS) to ITXA on Linux
  • EDI/B2B integration experience
  • Proficient with Linux administration for application runtime (services, filesystem, permissions, shell scripting)
  • Familiarity with Mainframe concepts: JCL, batch scheduling, data sets etc
  • Experience migrating from IBM Gentran to IBM ITXA
