Job Description:

Senior IBM i Systems Administrator responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing IBM i on Power Systems, including Server and Storage Administration, Security & Compliance, Performance Monitoring, User Access Control, and Disaster Recovery planning and execution.

Job Responsibility:

Install, configure, and maintain IBM i LPARs/servers
Manage IBM i Security Administration & Compliance
Monitor System Performance
Manage and optimize IBM i storage solutions
Participate in Disaster Recovery planning
Troubleshoot system issues
Document system configurations
Mentor junior team members
Participate in oncall rotation

Requirements:

5+ years of experience in IBM i Systems Administration
3+ years of networking within IBM i
2+ years of expertise in high-availability software solutions
3+ years of experience with advanced IBM i Work Management
Proven track record of participating in major system upgrades
Proficiency in coding and script automation, particularly in CLP
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Nice to have:

Familiarity with Precisely products
Understanding of database optimization
Experience in mentoring junior team members
Advanced knowledge of disaster recovery planning
Proficiency in security administration
