Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior HVAC Engineer to lead, design, review, and support HVAC engineering activities for large-scale building services projects. The ideal candidate will have substantial technical expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and extensive hands-on experience in HVAC design, construction, and commissioning.

Job Responsibility

  • Serve as the Discipline Technical Authority and provide expert engineering support to ongoing and upcoming projects
  • Ensure technical integrity, safety compliance, and alignment with project objectives related to cost, schedule, and quality
  • Verify and sign off on technical designs, proposals, and bids in accordance with approved standards
  • Lead and perform concept design, engineering studies, scope development, and preparation of all HVAC engineering documents
  • Deliver high-quality technical outputs on time to meet project requirements
  • Provide guidance and technical direction on HVAC engineering matters across all project phases
  • Plan and coordinate the work of a team of HVAC engineers, ensuring efficient delivery of technical services
  • Support execution departments by reviewing project strategies and identifying technical priorities
  • Support the Discipline Lead in the management and development of company engineering standards
  • Participate in technical assurance, standardization initiatives, and compliance reviews
  • Approve or endorse technical deviations, waivers, and variances as required
  • Ensure all engineering activities follow applicable environmental, process safety, and technical safety policies
  • Promote and enforce best practices in health, safety, and environmental protection within HVAC engineering functions
  • Contribute to the professional development of engineers, including mentoring and structured training especially for early-career and national engineers under development programs

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification from a recognized international university
  • Membership in a relevant and recognized professional engineering organization
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in the design, construction, and commissioning of HVAC systems for large high-rise buildings
  • Strong knowledge of international codes, standards, and specifications related to HVAC systems
  • Proven experience reviewing and approving Contractor submittals, Shop drawings, Method statements
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate HVAC works with multiple engineering disciplines
  • Proficiency in testing, commissioning, and quality assurance for HVAC installations
  • Excellent communication, report-writing, presentation, and team leadership skills
