Requirements:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Admin, or related field
Minimum of 7-10 years in an HR Generalist or similar role with extensive hands-on experience in a union environment, including labor and employee relations in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of transportation, logistics industry preferred
Demonstrated expertise in employment law, employee relations, labor relations, collective bargaining agreements, grievance handling, conflict resolution, compensation, and salary administration
Proven experience interpreting, administering, and navigating union contracts, with direct involvement in contract negotiations strongly preferred
Ability to effectively manage and resolve complex workplace conflicts, grievances, and disciplinary matters in partnership with union representatives and leadership
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills with a proven ability to build trust and credibility at all organizational levels
Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a dynamic, evolving environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
PHR or SPHR certification strongly preferred
Nice to have:
Knowledge of transportation, logistics industry
