Our client is a lean, high-performing consultancy looking for their first dedicated HR hire. You will transition the office from executive-led HR to a fully localized, professionalized function.

Job Responsibility:

  • Greenfield Setup: Design and implement all HR policies, handbooks, and SOPs from the ground up, while keeping in line with the company's policies and core values + mission
  • Talent Lead: Drive end-to-end recruitment and build the firm’s local employer brand
  • Full-Spectrum Ops: Manage payroll (vendor-led), contracts, and ER while reporting directly to the Managing Director
  • Global Bridge: Adapt international corporate standards to Malaysian Labor Law with an agile, "human-centric" approach

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a mixture of start-up type of environment
  • Experience with exposure to international stakeholders/counterparts (Regional exposure)
  • Strong experience as an HR Manager or HRBP in Malaysia (10-15 years of HR experience)
  • Experience setting up HR departments or working in small, fast-paced offices
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Deep knowledge of local labor laws
  • Able to be based in Kuala Lumpur City Centre
