We are looking for a highly skilled and adaptable Senior HR Generalist to join our team on a contract basis in El Paso, Texas. This role is essential in ensuring smooth HR operations, managing payroll functions, and providing executive support to the company leadership. Job Responsibility:
Manage and maintain accurate employee records, including licensing and continuing education documentation
Lead recruitment efforts, conduct interviews, and oversee onboarding processes to integrate new team members effectively
Organize and facilitate orientation programs to ensure a seamless transition for employees
Administer employee benefits, handle enrollments, modifications, and renewals to support staff needs
Monitor and maintain attendance records, time-off tracking, and related documentation for compliance purposes
Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures to align with company standards
Provide support and guidance to employees on HR-related inquiries, policies, and compliance matters
Process payroll for hourly, salaried, and commission-based employees, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulations
Ensure proper classification and payment for W-2 and 1099 employees and contractors
Prepare payroll reports and assist with year-end processes, including W-2 and 1099 documentation
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR and payroll administration, ideally within small businesses or regulated industries
Proven ability to provide administrative support to senior leaders or executives
Familiarity with payroll and HR software, such as GP Dynamics
Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws
Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently
Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
Nice to have:
Experience with mortgage industry regulations is a plus
