Job Description

Our client, a fast-growing tech start-up, is seeking a Temp-to-Perm Senior HR Director to join its leadership team in New York City for 3-6 months. This person will play a critical role in stabilizing and scaling people operations during a period of transformation, leadership transition, and systems implementation. The ideal candidate is a successful, experienced start-up HR leader who has built and scaled small organizations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or a related field, required
  • HR certification, preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, ideally at the Senior Director, Head of People, or VP level, required
  • Hands-on experience implementing to a PEO and HRIS platform
  • Rippling experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end people operations, including payroll, benefits, performance management, employee relations, employee engagement, and compliance, required
  • Exposure to large-company best practices with hands-on experience in a small or high-growth environment, preferred
  • Proven ability to operate independently in lean environments, establish credibility quickly, manage sensitive matters with discretion, and partner effectively with executive leadership
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to balance strategic leadership and day-to-day execution while maintaining a high-touch, people-first approach
