Job Description

BAE Systems is looking for a dynamic, results-driven HR Business Partner to collaborate with Inc. HQ, COE, and IT senior leaders in driving organizational success. Reporting to the Director, HR, this role will influence and implement short- and long-term HR strategy while owning day-to-day support for their organization. As a trusted advisor, you’ll execute HR priorities and provide critical guidance to frontline and mid-level managers, enabling transformational change and continuous improvement. You’ll deliver impactful strategies while balancing business objectives, data insights, and employee advocacy to elevate an inclusive culture where employees thrive!

Job Responsibility

  • Serve as a key partner to business leaders, implementing Human Resource (HR) strategies and owning the execution of programs that align with corporate objectives and business goals
  • Provide day-to-day support for employee relations issues, investigations, EEO compliance, talent management, emerging talent programs, training and development, compensation, benefits, etc.
  • Use data and analytics to provide actionable insights to leadership and guide HR decisions that improve team and business outcomes
  • Work closely with managers to translate business strategies into practical solutions, bringing a project-oriented approach in delivery of work
  • Seamlessly manage multiple HR priorities and projects across the business, approaching each challenge with a bias for action and a focus on refining processes
  • Address employee relations matters and proactively mitigate risks, conducting investigations and partnering with the business as necessary to ensure a fair and compliant workplace
  • Maintain strong partnerships with leaders and cross-functional teams, using influence to drive action and build a Service Ownership culture
  • Partner with HR and business leadership to develop effective workforce plans/strategies and collaborate with talent acquisition to translate the requirements into an executable plan
  • Act as a change agent, supporting reorganization efforts that align with our values and helping teams adapt to new ways of working
  • Function as a thought partner, guiding and coaching management in the delivery of compensation programs like annual salary planning, incentive program nominations, etc.
  • Leverage influence and expertise to guide the business in prioritizing and implementing programs and initiatives that motivate a high performing culture and champion inclusive practices
  • Collaborate with other HR partners and Centers of Excellence (COEs) to improve HR practices and serve as representative for team on various projects or committees as needed
  • Proactively engage in process improvement and operational efficiency including automation of reports, systems, and processes where possible
  • Champion inclusion initiatives, facilitating interpersonal understanding, advocating for fair practices, and encouraging active participation in BAE System’s workplace communities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 8 years' work experience – or – equivalent experience and education
  • Previous experience in an HR business partnering role, with strengths in employee culture initiatives, employee relations, and operational support
  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret data and use insights to guide HR recommendations
  • Working knowledge of US Federal Employment Laws, ensuring compliance and business understanding
  • Ability to work effectively with leaders at multiple levels, using strong communication and relationship-building skills to coach managers and execute priorities
  • A customer-focused approach, with a collaborative style and a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Strong time management and prioritization, effectively executing a high-volume of HR transactions.

  • HR Certification (PHR/SHRM-CP)
  • Prior HR experience supporting technical and/or dispersed client groups
  • Experience managing cross-functional HR projects, implementing department-wide change, and guiding teams through organizational shifts
