Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior HR Business Partner to join our People Team, with strategic responsibility across Germany, Austria, and Poland. Reporting to the European Head of People (based in Dublin, Ireland), this role will partner closely with senior operational leaders to shape and deliver the people strategy across multiple countries, legal frameworks, and cultures. This is a high impact, senior role suited to someone who thrives in complexity and ambiguity — bringing strong judgement, commercial acumen, and a coaching mindset. You will be trusted to influence leadership teams, challenge thinking, anticipate risk, and ensure our people practices enable sustainable growth across the region.

Job Responsibility

  • Act as a strategic advisor to senior leaders across Germany, Austria, and Poland, shaping leadership effectiveness, organisational capability, culture, and engagement
  • Lead the people agenda for the three regions, aligning workforce strategy with business priorities across multiple countries and operating models
  • Coach General Managers and leadership teams to build high performing, engaged, and values led teams
  • Partner on complex employee relations matters, providing clear, confident guidance while balancing legal compliance and Staycity Group values
  • Ensure all HR guides, contracts, and processes are compliant with local employment legislation and reflect best practice across the three regions
  • Anticipate people related risk and proactively address issues related to performance, capability, succession, and organisational design
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development to ensure regional hiring, onboarding, and development strategies meet current and future needs
  • Play an active role in People initiatives, including DEI, engagement, change management, and government or regulatory requirements
  • Use people data and insight to influence senior decision making, challenge the status quo, and drive continuous improvement across the region
  • Act as a role model and mentor within the wider People Team, elevating capability and consistency of people partnering

Requirements

  • 7–10+ years’ experience as a Senior HR Business Partner operating in complex, multisite and/or multi-country environments
  • In-depth working knowledge of employment law and HR practices in Germany, Austria, and Poland
  • Proven ability to operate as a credible partner to senior leaders, influencing outcomes and challenging decisions with confidence and empathy
  • Strong experience navigating ambiguity, change, and organisational growth, ideally within hospitality, retail, or other service led sectors
  • Highly developed coaching capability and sound judgement in sensitive and complex people matters
  • Confident using data, insight, and commercial understanding to shape strategy and decision-making
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related discipline
  • High energy, resilient, and comfortable working at pace across multiple priorities and geographies
  • Fluency in English, German and Polish

What we offer

  • Annual Bonus
  • Discounted rates for overnight stays for you, your family and friends
  • Refer and earn scheme - earn up to £/€550
  • Education Support to help you foster new skills
  • Volunteer days: 2 paid volunteer days per year
  • Support for you and your family when you need it with our Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
