Senior HR Advisor – 25–30 hours per week – Cambridge. We’re looking for an experienced HR professional to provide expert, pragmatic advice across the employee lifecycle, lead our job evaluation process, and coach managers to do the right thing for colleagues and the Charity.
Job Responsibility:
Provide high-quality HR advice and support to managers and colleagues across employee relations, absence management, performance, conduct and capability
Lead the Charity's job evaluation process, coordinating panels, facilitating discussions and maintaining accurate records
Support recruitment activity, including role design/redesign, job evaluation and creation of selection tools, working closely with the HR Coordinator
Contribute to HR policy and process development and deliver/coordinate HR briefings and training initiatives
Line manage an HR Advisor and oversee HR volunteer, ensuring the team provides a responsive, customer-focused service
Requirements:
CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent experience) with up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation, best practice and case law
Proven operational HR advisory experience across a broad range of policies and procedures, including formal casework
Confident communicator with the ability to coach and influence managers at all levels, handling sensitive issues with tact and compassion
Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
Experience of line management and HR systems/reporting is essential
