We are looking for an experienced and proactive Senior HR Advisor to join our People team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident HR professional to play a key role in delivering high-quality HR support, the development of our wellbeing function, and helping to shape a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Job Responsibility:
Provide advice and guidance on employee related cases, ensuring these are well managed and meet the requirements of internal policies, best practice and employment legislation
Play an integral part in the HR team and support the HR Coordinator and HR Administrator in their continuous growth and development
Work with the HR Manager, to suggest and implement changes to processes and procedures, to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the organisation
Consistently demonstrate and support in fostering a culture of employee engagement, wellbeing and inclusiveness
Provide support for wellbeing initiatives and Mental Health First Aider (MHFA) activity, helping to signpost colleagues and managers to appropriate internal and external support where needed
Take a leading role in the growth and development of our Wellbeing function, across the business
Develop relationships with Senior Management, providing them with guidance, coaching and support on all HR activities, to ensure a consistent and fair approach to people management
Support line managers with day-to-day people management responsibilities, including attendance, performance, conduct, capability and employee wellbeing, ensuring a consistent and legally compliant approach
Understand the purpose of policies and procedures, whilst being able to effectively provide HR support, in a wide variety of cases including grievances and appeals
Working and communicating with the HR systems advisor to maintain the integrity of HR and payroll systems
Maintain up to date knowledge of developments within HR and Employment Law, keeping Line Managers updated of this
Supporting the delivery of ad-hoc HR projects as required
Any other duties that may be required from time to time
Requirements:
Proven HR generalist experience with a strong understanding of employment law and HR best practice, with demonstrable knowledge of how to source and obtain answers independently
Mental Health First Aid and general wellbeing support experience
Proactive and self-motivated with a proven ability to work autonomously and flexibly, using own initiative
Excellent communication and interpersonal, to include providing written and verbal advice in a clear concise manner to a high standard, with excellent attention to detail
The ability to challenge using the qualities of patience, sensitivity, diplomacy and integrity
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Ability to work effectively with people across a wide range of levels and responsibilities and build relationships with key stakeholders, whilst influencing, persuading, coaching and using negotiating skills
Experience of working in a fast paced environment
Excellent IT skills with experience of working on HR Systems
