Telford College is seeking to appoint a Senior HR Advisor to join our expanding HR team during an exciting period of growth and development. This pivotal role will provide expert guidance on management and employee relations, lead on complex casework, and support the development and implementation of HR policies. You will also play a key part in producing and monitoring KPIs, ensuring we continue to deliver a high-quality and people-focused HR service across the College.
Job Responsibility:
Provide timely and accurate HR advice and support to managers and staff on a broad range of employment matters, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and college policies
Manage and support a range of employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence management, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and procedures
Attend and advise on formal hearings and investigations, working closely with managers and union representatives where necessary
Engage with stakeholders to ensure policies are practical, accessible, and aligned with the college’s strategic aims
Produce, analyse, and report on key HR metrics and performance indicators such as absence, turnover, recruitment activity, training, and casework
Support the identification of trends and contribute to action planning to improve HR service delivery and workforce performance
Requirements:
Experience advising on a range of HR issues, including casework
Strong experience of UK employment law and HR best practice
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to communicate sensitively and assertively
Ability to manage high volume workload, maintaining a high level of personal organisation and meeting deadlines
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy for data and report / letter writing
CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) or equivalent HR Qualification/experience
