We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer in Sydney to join our Hosting Team. This role is required to strengthen support for CW hosting platforms, improve incident response and root-cause resolution, and design and implement solutions as demand scales and complexity of the CargoWise SaaS platform continues to grow. You should be experienced with configuring and troubleshooting systems across both Windows & Linux platforms, operating at a highly competent and autonomous level while supporting less experienced colleagues within the team to ensure the highest levels of reliability.
Job Responsibility:
Senior technical resource for the Hosting Systems Engineering team
Oversee and coordinate maintenance and support of production servers
Be the escalation point and senior technical resource for any hosting-related issues and projects
Troubleshoot issues within the environment as L3 Support, with a focus on suggesting improvements and executing them
Oversee monitoring of hosted systems and create alerts, dashboards and procedures team members can use in response to alerts
Write troubleshooting documentation for NOC and support team members
Assist in the planning, design, documentation, and implementation of various projects like CI/CD pipelines, automations to reduce manual interventions, and Kubernetes implementation
Contribute to technical strategy, policy and procedures
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years in a similar role
Windows Server administration (2016 and later)
Linux operating system administration
Active Directory configuration and administration
Linux containers skills
Scripting and programming skills
Excellent problem-solving/troubleshooting skills
Able to complete tasks/projects autonomously, building new solutions following industry best practices
Able to write concise and understandable documentation
