This role is responsible for managing and improving Aurecon's infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. The role ensures reliable, secure hosting services, performance, and SLA compliance, while supporting the Team Leader through mentoring and training. It focuses on operational support and infrastructure management to maintain day-to-day stability and drive continuous improvement.
Job Responsibility:
Resolve incidents and problems related to infrastructure operations, ensuring timely restoration of services
Support Solutions teams to ensure operational readiness and smooth service transition
Maintain operational documentation, including as-built records and knowledge articles, ensuring accuracy and alignment with established standards and processes
Deploy, manage, and optimize on-prem and cloud infrastructure for performance and security
Administer backups and recovery solutions across on-prem and cloud environments, ensuring integrity and availability
Implement and manage patching and vulnerability remediation for servers in on-prem and cloud environments
Conduct vulnerability assessments, remediation, and security compliance enforcement across hosted systems and applications
Deploy, update, troubleshoot, and maintain antivirus solutions, ensuring continuous protection
Monitor system health using cloud and on-prem tools

Ensure compliance with incident, change, and event management processes
Generate and maintain service performance reports via Service Delivery Management, ensuring visibility into hosting operations
Manage troubleshooting and recovery procedures, utilizing ITIL as a code, automated restoration, and manual remediation when needed
Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain infrastructure efficiency
Ensure compliance with ISMS frameworks for cybersecurity maturity
Implement automation for patching, monitoring and reporting to improve efficiency
Requirements:
Over 6+ years as a Server Engineer with strong admin skills in Azure
Skilled in VMware vSphere 8+, enterprise backup solutions, storage administration, and patch/vulnerability management for large-scale enterprise environments
Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services and AWS
Knowledgeable in ITIL processes
Strong sense of responsibility, flexibility, and adaptability to varying request
Demonstrate excellent time management and organizational skills
