An exciting role has become available within Cambria’s Heating Team. As the Senior Heating Engineer, working in our South Wales region, you will be responsible for shaping and improving the future of service delivery to Wales & West Housing’s residents.
Job Responsibility:
Diagnose faults, carry out repairs, new installations and audit other work
Supporting and managing a team of Heating Engineers
Planning and managing workload to include plumbing, heating and gas installation works on reactive maintenance and planned works projects
Deliver training to all heating staff, facilitate continual performance improvements and develop the heating service
Be responsible for van stock, usage, recording, stock profile and specialist individual job materials together with any necessary plant and vehicles
Monitor the implementation of health and safety requirements, providing appropriate training, taking appropriate action for any non-compliance
Carry out and maintain relevant task specific risk assessments for all appropriate tasks such as work at height, heating work, COSHH and manual handling and to toolbox training talks to operational staff
Develop and manage relationships with external organisations in relation to heating service delivery, ensuring certification and membership is always maintained
Complete and maintain all necessary associated work documentation, records, systems, assessments and certification
Participate in our 24/7 emergency call out service
Requirements:
Recognised formal training attaining the relevant craft qualification i.e. City & Guilds, NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent
ACS qualifications CCN1, CEN1, WAT1, CKR1, HTR1
Current valid full driving licence
Strong customer focus
Ability to communicate with a diverse range of residents
