Job Description:

Phoenix Hospital Chelmsford has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our friendly and dynamic team on a fixed term contract of 12 months. The ideal candidate is somebody who can connect with our culture and values and takes pride in delivering a first class service to our patients and consultants. They will have superb organisational skills and will relish a challenge within a fast paced environment with like minded people.

Job Responsibility:

Assisting our consultants and nurses during their clinics with chaperoning, ultrasound scans, minor op procedures, dressing changes, phlebotomy and much more
Ensuring stocking is always accurate, clinics set up for every consultant and ensure Equipment is working and safe to use
Taking part in audits and admin work
Promoting customer service and patient care
Acting as part of a team and promote good team work across all teams

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years’ experience as a healthcare assistant
Experience from the private sector a benefit
Experience within one or more of the following areas: Gynaecology, theatre/minor operations, cosmetic surgery
Skilled in venepuncture
High level of communication and interpersonal skills
Understanding of customer care
IT skills
Ability to demonstrate an understanding of safeguarding principles and practices, ensuring the protection of vulnerable individuals

Nice to have:

Experience from the private sector

Annual Leave: 33 days inclusive of bank holidays
