Our laboratory in Denmark is looking for an experienced Senior Hardware Engineer to join our team.

Job Responsibility

  • Hands on advanced structural characterization of nanoscale components
  • Data analysis, interpretation of structural characterization to enable quality control and decision making
  • Troubleshooting and basic maintenance of characterization tools
  • Develop new characterization protocols as needed
  • Technical guidance of equipment engineers and process technicians
  • Design and build AI agents/copilots that assist with lab workflows, experiment setup, log triage, report generation, protocol templating, and knowledge retrieval
  • Collaborate with other process, measurement, design teams to drive progress
  • Coordinate with program management, other experts on priorities and product specifications
  • Implementation of process documentation and process control mechanisms
  • Model safety standards and practices including compliance with policies, adherence to safety in a variety of work environments, and escalating issues with appropriate urgency

Requirements

  • PhD or MSc or Bachelors in Electrical Engineering, Physics, material science or a related field
  • Significant experience with structural characterization
  • Deep theoretical knowledge and practical experience with advanced structural characterization techniques such as SEM, AFM, EDX
  • Experience with Python programming
  • Experience with image processing and image analysis
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements

Nice to have

  • Experience with tool monitoring/process control and troubleshooting
  • Experience working with semiconductor, thin films and nanostructured materials
  • Hands-on attitude with the ability to use structured problem-solving techniques to drive rapid issue closure
