The Senior Hardware Development Engineer will lead hardware projects in the automotive sector, focusing on designing and developing solutions for applications like steering wheel switches and automatic gear shifters. Proficiency in PADS Pro Tools and Dx Designer is essential, along with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Job Responsibility:
Design and develop hardware solutions for automotive applications (e.g., steering wheel switches, window switches, automatic gear shifters)
Analyze customer requirements and create detailed hardware specifications
Develop and review schematics and technical documentation
Lead hardware development activities from RFQ to DV/PV phases
Act as technical lead for hardware projects
Contribute to defining and optimizing hardware development and PCB layout processes
Collaborate with international, cross-functional teams
Ensure compliance with deadlines, quality standards, and internal procedures
Support technical risk assessment and problem resolution during development and validation
Effective communicator in cross-functional environments
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electro-Mechanics, or related engineering field
Minimum 5 years of experience in hardware development
Proven experience delivering at least one end-to-end hardware project (RFQ → development → DV/PV validation)
Strong experience in automotive electronics
Experience in a technical project lead role is an advantage
Knowledge of automotive development processes (DV/PV, validation cycles)
Experience with: PADS Pro Tools VX 2.13 and Dx Designer VX 2.13
Familiarity with automotive quality standards is a plus
Strong analytical thinking and autonomous working style
Proactive, solution-driven mindset with excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to manage complex technical situations
Willingness to continuously learn and deepen expertise in Hardware & Electronics
Excellent command of both spoken and written English
