For our customer who provides innovative payment solutions in fintech industry, we are looking for a Senior Hardware Development Engineer! Our customer develops end-to-end payment platform from payment terminal to back-end servers. They provide innovative payment solutions involving very modern technology and design for needs of banks, fin-techs and retailers. They are expert on solutions for cashless payment transactions that the banking/financial sector needs, such as contactless & contact credit cards and payment terminals. The line-up of products covers all solutions from hardware to software, including operating system of a terminal, EMV schemes, banking / payment applications, security / cryptography and back-end servers for payment platform.
Job Responsibility:
Take part in the development of advanced payment terminals and POS devices based on mobile processors, high-speed interfaces, and embedded software
Be one of the key technical contributors working closely with the Product Team in defining the product roadmap, selecting new hardware platforms, and making strategic hardware architecture decisions
Requirements:
Minimum 8 years of professional experience in hardware development
Proven experience delivering real products from concept to mass production
Strong experience with high-integration mobile application processors used in smartphones, tablets, or similar IoT / consumer devices
Hands-on experience in high-speed and high-frequency circuit design (e.g. DDR, USB, MIPI, SPI, RF or similar interfaces)
Excellent schematic design experience (PCB layout experience is a plus, but not mandatory)
Ability to review PCB layouts and work closely with layout engineers
Solid understanding of power management, clocking, signal integrity, and EMI/EMC topics
Proven hands-on experience with board bring-up, including: Power-up and power sequencing, First boot and early hardware validation, Debugging hardware and hardware–software interaction issues, Supporting board revision cycles and issue resolution
Strong hands-on experience with Embedded C / C++
Comfortable working close to hardware during bring-up and debugging phases
Experience with bootloaders, BSPs, or low-level driver development is a strong plus
Strong analytical and debugging skills
Ability to work independently and take full ownership of complex designs
Effective communication and collaboration with firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams
Experience with mass production, testing, and certification processes is a plus
Nice to have:
Experience in payment terminals, cash registers, POS devices, or consumer electronics
Familiarity with Linux-based embedded systems and/or Android
Experience with EMS / ODM partners
