Job Description:

MLC Gymnastics offers an extensive program to all children in Kindergym through to Senior International level competition. The Senior Gymnastics Coach will coach within the WAG Gymnastics program and is responsible for contributing to the associated administration and management of athletes within their designated squads. This position will also be required to assist within other squads as agreed with the Head of Gymnastics.

Job Responsibility:

  • Coach and plan for the WAG group/s as assigned each year
  • Promote and foster an environment where all gymnasts are encouraged and supported to reach their full potential
  • Ensure gymnasts are provided with developmental programs, appropriate to their needs and aspirations
  • Provide mentorship to developing coaches and contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment
  • Attend competitions and MLC events as required
  • Uphold college standards and engage in continuous personal development

Requirements:

  • Current Advanced or FIG 1 WAG Coaching qualification (minimum, FIG 2 or Advanced Silver preferred)
  • Gymnastics Australia Technical Member
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Effective planning and organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Proven competence with use of technology
  • A current Working with Children Check
  • Be open to ideas, striving for excellence and have a high level of integrity
