The Role: As a Senior Product Manager, Driver Information & Safety Experiences, you will lead the team of Product Mangers shaping what drivers see and interact with every time they get behind the wheel. You will: Define the future of instrument clusters and reconfigurable displays – how information is prioritized, visualized, and personalized. Supporting everything from everyday driving to on-track hero moments. Shape Head-Up Display (HUD) experiences that keep eyes on the road while giving drivers the confidence and context they need. Closely collaborating with R&D to shape future technologies to provide truly immersive experiences. Reinvent how customers understand vehicle health, maintenance, and diagnostics, turning confusing warnings into clear, actionable guidance. Orchestrate cross-vehicle safety and warning experiences so that critical moments are handled consistently, calmly, and effectively. Integrating the latest technology to create experiences that inform and protect our customers. This is a highly visible role at the intersection of safety, design, hardware, and software. You'll connect deep technical teams with customer insights, and you'll decide which ideas become the next generation of GM's driver information experience. Success in this role requires operating in a fast-paced, highly cross-functional environment, making principled tradeoffs, and influencing teams across Software, Hardware, Safety, CX, Data, and Program Management.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of people leading experience
  • 8+ years of experience in product management or similar disciplines
  • 10+ years of experience with the tech or automotive software industry
  • Proven ability to balance tradeoffs between consumer needs and expectations, legal and regulatory requirements, and business objectives
  • Experience developing solutions to hard problems with many constraints, using sound judgement to assess risks, and laying out your argument in a well-structured, data-informed, written narrative
  • Demonstrated expertise in writing, with the ability to effectively balance and integrate pressures from across the company
  • Ability to identify key data and metrics required to make decisions and implications of their movement
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to all stakeholders

  • Attend and participate in exercise planning conferences, providing past lessons learned/assessments as required, and aiding exercise participants in formulating training objectives and mission essential task lists (METLs) to meet exercise-related JT and then compile the listings of METLs, objectives, JTs, and schedules
  • Perform technical data analysis, provide verbal and written feedback, and publish interim reports regarding exercise participant’s ability to achieve unit objectives, METLs, and JTs on a daily basis during exercise periods
  • Produce daily feedback reports and post as required in the operations area and mission planning cell after each vulnerability period
  • Monitor, collect, analyze, and archive all data required throughout the exercise
  • Develop, distribute, manage, and collect post-exercise event participant critiques
  • Recommend questions/topics based on historical problem areas and/or areas of historically high interest
  • Compile, analyze, and summarize critique inputs, and then provide products with recommendations for corrective actions to 353 CTS
  • Aid exercise execution personnel in publishing a comprehensive After Action Report, including all lessons learned and/or technical insight into why or why not objectives, METLs, and/or JTs were met or not met
  • Enter after action reports and significant findings into the Air Force Joint Lessons Learned Information System
