Airbus is looking for a Senior Group Manager leading the product of Digital Core Monitoring to join the Bangalore, India location. This role expects the person to play the dual role: Global HO for Core Monitoring + Group Manager for Operational Excellence (HCC). This role is part of the Digital Infrastructure and Platforms department under Information Management (IM) function. The selected individual is responsible for the day to day management of the product and the teams. This role encompasses accountability for the End to End Product/Application lifecycle from conception, design, industrialisation, operation to retirement including management of dependencies and in support of the PM for strategy/governance and deliverables. Overseeing the operational aspects such as budgeting, Service delivery, supplier relations, risk management, and change control support within the IM function.

Job Responsibility:

  • Define the product strategy, give the objectives & design the Service roadmap
  • Leads the IT Product MFT team in order to manage the IT Product lifecycle, both developing the products and operating them to meet operational SLA's
  • Defines chargeback models for their respective features
  • Ensures that the known Product Vision is translated into a prioritized Product Backlog in alignment with the business stakeholders
  • Establishes two-way-dialogue to translate Business Needs against known technical & resource constraints
  • Responsible for Continuous Release Management
  • Ensures the participation of an End User Advocate with understanding of users and use, and a product that best serves both
  • Ensures that the known Product/Application Vision is translated into a prioritized Backlog in alignment with the business product owner
  • Defines chargeback models for their respective IT Products/Applications
  • Defines and go-to-market of the product and service (line)
  • Meet operational service level defined with the Business
  • Participate in the development and strategy of all existing products
  • Make business and technical governance decisions
  • Drives the update of the learning framework based on the known technology
  • Advises on specific topics related to the technology and/or methodology
  • Monitors technology and/or methodology trends and supports the teams to apply these within the Airbus Environment
  • Guides and supports the selection of the appropriate technologies and/or methodologies
  • Able to make recommendations for buy versus build decisions
  • Hold the full responsibility to lead teams in right direction to achieve the success
  • Manage and lead the team on day to day operational basis and drive continuous process improvement
  • Lead the team using a performance management and development process with the right training program
  • Provide effective performance feedback through employee recognition, rewards, and disciplinary action when it’s required
  • Work with Human Resources Team to interview and recruit right team based on the business need
  • Coach, mentor, provide oversight and direction to the team in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Graduate/Post Graduate with 18+ years (or equivalent) in Information Technology
  • Proficiency in Service Delivery Management, Project Management, and Leadership and driving improvement processes
  • Experience with Monitoring Solutions tools such as Splunk, Zabbix, HCC, and HP BSM is desirable
  • Familiarity with Agile/SAFe principles
  • Ability to adapt across domains and possess diverse skills
  • 5+ years’ experience on IT architecture is desirable
