Senior Grant Accountant

• Lead grant tracking, reporting, and compliance support in collaboration with the Finance Specialist
• Manage cash flow forecasting and monitoring, ensuring accurate projections
• Support budget development, oversight, and variance analysis for grant‑funded programs
• Conduct deficit scenario planning and provide recommendations to leadership
• Prepare accurate monthly financial statements, grant reports, and board‑ready materials
• Oversee the annual audit and Form 990 preparation, ensuring grant compliance documentation is complete
• Maintain and strengthen internal accounting controls, particularly around grant activity
• Review and approve monthly reconciliations, including grant‑related accounts
• Approve payments and ensure compliance with internal policies and grant requirements
• Prepare and review journal entries, including grant allocations and revenue recognition
• Support month‑end and year‑end close processes
• Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processing
• Journal entries and routine accounting tasks
• Grant tracking, documentation, and reporting support

• Sage Intacct experience is required
• 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with grant accounting strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and grant compliance requirements
• Experience preparing financial statements, budgets, and audit support
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction in a remote environment
• Strong communication skills and comfort presenting financial information
• Experience supervising or mentoring staff preferred
