Job Description

We’re looking for a Senior Global Payroll Specialist to join Haypp Group and help shape and scale our global payroll function. Reporting to the Head of P&C Operations & Technology, you’ll play a key role in ensuring payroll operations are accurate, compliant, and scalable as we continue to grow across markets. This is a new and business-critical role with a strong focus on transformation and continuous improvement. You’ll lead initiatives such as system implementation, market and process harmonization, and increased tech enablement of payroll. As we transition from multiple local payroll providers to Remot as a more unified and scalable solution, you’ll have a real opportunity to influence how payroll is structured and managed going forward. We operate in a fast-moving scale-up environment, where not everything is fully defined. This gives you the chance to build structure, improve ways of working, and create scalable solutions across markets. We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with systems, navigating complexity, and taking ownership of change. You’ll be part of a high-performing team focused on driving operational excellence, scalability, and continuous improvement across our global people operations. We believe in hybrid work and gather in our Stockholm office from Tuesday to Thursday.

Job Responsibility

  • Take ownership of our global payroll operations, coordinating closely with external partners across markets such as Sweden, the UK, Germany, and the US to ensure everything runs smoothly
  • Make sure payroll is accurate, compliant, and delivered on time - giving both the business and our employees full confidence in the process
  • Build and continuously improve our payroll processes, moving us away from manual workarounds to more structured, scalable, and system-supported ways of working
  • Own payroll-related reporting and administration end-to-end, including pensions, benefits, and statutory filings where relevant
  • Act as a trusted go-to for employees, providing clear, supportive, and service-minded guidance on everything from payroll and benefits to time reporting and local regulations
  • Play an active role in developing our people tech landscape, helping improve data quality, automation, and integrations to create a more seamless and future-proof setup

Requirements

  • You have solid, hands-on experience running payroll and understand what high-quality payroll execution looks like in practice
  • You’ve worked with payroll in multiple markets, including at least one outside the Nordics (e.g. UK, Germany, or US), and are comfortable navigating different regulations and setups
  • You’re a natural problem solver who is comfortable digging into details, interpreting market-specific requirements, and finding practical solutions
  • You understand how payroll connects to finance, including accounting, reporting, and cost allocation
  • You’re used to working cross-functionally and collaborating with Finance, People & Culture, managers, and external providers
  • You’re comfortable working with systems and see the value of improving processes through better tools, automation, and data quality
  • You communicate clearly and build trust through responsiveness, structure, and a strong service mindset
  • You’re fluent in English

What we offer

  • Competitive occupational pension
  • Insurance plan, including private healthcare
  • 30 days of paid vacation
  • Parental pay lift
  • Wellness allowance of 5,000 SEK per year
  • Lots of social happenings
