We are looking for an experienced Senior GL Accountant to join our dynamic team in North Dallas, Texas. This role is essential in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records while enhancing accounting processes and systems. The ideal candidate will excel in managing general ledger activities and collaborating across departments to drive operational efficiency.
Job Responsibility:
Act as the primary expert and manager of the accounting system, ensuring its functionality and reliability
Safeguard the accuracy and structure of the general ledger, chart of accounts, and associated configurations
Collaborate with Finance Systems, IT teams, and external vendors to implement system upgrades and process improvements
Lead initiatives to streamline accounting workflows through automation and optimization
Perform month-end close procedures, including preparing journal entries and conducting account reconciliations
Analyze financial variances and provide insights to support business decision-making
Oversee bank reconciliations to ensure alignment with financial records
Assist in the preparation of financial reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
Support audits and reviews by providing necessary documentation and insights
Contribute to the continuous enhancement of accounting policies and practices
Requirements:
Proven expertise in general ledger management and accounting systems
Experience with month-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
Strong ability to perform bank reconciliations and analyze financial variances
Proficient in optimizing workflows and leveraging automation tools
Familiarity with accounting software such as Workday or similar platforms
Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining data accuracy and integrity
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
