This is an opportunity for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to take on a key role within a high-performing team, contributing across investigation, design, and project delivery. You’ll be involved in a diverse range of projects spanning infrastructure, transport, and large-scale land development, with the scope to step into greater technical leadership and client-facing responsibilities. The role offers variety, autonomy, and the chance to further develop both your technical and project management capability.
Job Responsibility:
Plan and manage geotechnical site investigations and data collection
Undertake geotechnical analysis and design across foundations, retaining structures, and slope stability
Develop ground models, specifications, and technical documentation
Prepare interpretative and design reports
Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships
Contribute to project delivery, programme management, and commercial outcomes
Mentor and support junior engineers
Requirements:
BE (Hons) in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
~5+ years’ experience within a geotechnical consulting environment
Strong technical capability across investigation, analysis, and design
Experience delivering projects and engaging with clients
Clear and confident communication skills
Full NZ driver’s licence
Nice to have:
Postgraduate qualification in geotechnical engineering
Experience mentoring or leading junior staff
Exposure to large-scale infrastructure or land development projects
