Senior Geotechnical Engineer - Transit

Senior Engineers responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following: Perform analyses of alternatives and value engineering to ensure efficiency, maintainability and lowest lifecycle costs for design concept(s) selected. Experience in track and special trackwork design is essential. Carry out Feasibility Studies and Analysis and other studies as required to complete the Work. Perform and confirm analysis and design calculations. Ensure that all designs conform to current codes, standards and regulations, as well as TTC/City Design Standards. Instruct, review and correct the work of subordinate engineers /CADD personnel. Create, review and edit specifications for all design deliverable submissions. Participate in interdisciplinary communications to establish and provide information required from/to other disciplines to produce specifications and/or reports for each deliverable. Stamp/sign final drawings/reports. Conduct site visits as required and in conformance with Ontario Building Code (OBC) and other authorities having jurisdiction and file/submit site visit reports for the completeness and general conformance of the Work. Be registered as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario. Provide engineering support and resolve technical issues. Prepare lessons learned documentation at the completion of the project. Perform detailed engineering Analysis and Design according to discipline to evaluate and address concerns raised in the Safety Survey or Condition Surveys on existing facilities or engineering of new or expanded facilities and subway infrastructure assets. Provide engineering assistance to supplement TTC’s internal engineering design staff.
