The role of Senior Geotechnical Engineer comes with the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule and will provide you with the opportunity to: Support and lead tailings storage facility projects in the design, construction, operation and closure phases for global mining projects. Contribute to risk assessments, dam safety assessments and risk-informed decision making. Engage with clients, colleagues and suppliers on environmentally focused field programs and design solutions. Work with the latest versions of industry software. Lead less experienced staff through the methodologies of TSF design solutions. Build client rapport that develops projects from feasibility through to mine closure phases. Expand your knowledge by attending conferences and trainings. Be an ambassador for and potentially become an owner of KCB.
Job Responsibility:
Support and lead tailings storage facility projects in the design, construction, operation and closure phases for global mining projects

Requirements:
A degree in civil, geotechnical, or geological engineering, with a track record of continued development
At least 10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, applied to mining projects
You must be eligible to register as professional engineer in the US
Experience in slope stability and seepage analysis
dam design
earthworks and construction
site investigation and laboratory testing of soils and rock
An ability to build relationships with multidisciplinary project-based teams
Experience in a safety focused environment with near miss and incident reporting requirements
