(Broadbent) of Salt Lake City, Utah is looking to hire an organized full-time Senior Environmental Professional / Senior Geologist / Senior Environmental Scientist to oversee a wide variety of complex, environmental projects in the Intermountain Region. Job Responsibility
Prepare and review of work plans, technical documents, and reports for federal, state, and local agencies
Prepare and review of new clientele proposals for federal, state, and private industry
Develop the scope of environmental assessment and remediation projects from our diverse portfolio and manage budgets
Conduct regular field visits to drive project execution and ensure that appropriate technical and health and safety procedures are being followed
Review and approve vendor work proposals and invoices
Write project reports, analyze, and interpret data, and prepare final reports to be submitted for management and client review
Business development
Act as a client liaison and communicate with regulatory personnel
Potential succession for division management
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in geology, hydrogeology, earth or environmental science
Professional Geologist (PG) certification and/or Utah PST Consultant a bonus
Seven or more years of experience in geological assessments, water supply, water treatment, environmental assessments, contaminant investigation, contaminant remediation, storm water management, wastewater treatment, permitting projects, or compliance projects in the public and private sectors
Consulting experience
Strong working knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations and experience interacting with governmental regulatory agencies
Demonstrated ability to properly manage multiple projects concurrently while ensuring compliance with deliverable timelines
Proven Business Development Capability
Ability for limited travel within the Intermountain Region
Nice to have
Possess strong work ethic and knowledge of the consulting business in the Intermountain Region
Strong commitment to Safety and staff development/mentoring
Possess ability to effectively manage personnel and administrative functions
Advanced technical capabilities associated with the specific field of expertise
