Job Responsibility

  • Collaborate and engage with accounting teams, both within internal structures and with our outsourced business partner, to manage the period, quarter, and annual close processes
  • Support financial processes within the EMEA region, both from process and individual country perspective
  • Indirect oversight of outsourced business partner RTR team members
  • Reconciling Balance Sheet accounts and providing meaningful explanations on movements to business and auditors
  • Work effectively with other departments to obtain important data required to manage the process
  • Support month end accounting close for a variety of areas, such as cost of sales, revenue, accrual management, banking operations, treasury accounting, project management, SG&A costs, standard cost reporting and financial accounting processes
  • Calculating and managing Profit & Loss postings associated with various projects
  • Developing Standard Work documentation to optimally manage the required process flows
  • Supporting process development and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Supporting Internal and External Audit processes
  • Support KPI reporting of the team and departmental
  • Provide guidance and support to the business in terms answering of relevant queries

Requirements

  • A university qualification, preferably in Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • Over 5 years of experience in Accounting and Reporting in a multinational company
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken is essential
  • Orientation to work with strict deadlines is essential
  • Excellent communication, influencing and coordination skills
  • Critical thinking and problem solving
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to work in a matrix organisation driving collaboration across businesses and functions
  • Willingness and confidence to lead discussions with senior leaders when required

Nice to have

  • Practical knowledge of US GAAP reporting is beneficial
  • Exposure to major ERP systems, preferably SAP R3, SAP S/4HANA. Oracle, Blackline - nice to have
  • Prior experience in audit (or cooperation with auditors) is beneficial
