Job Description:

The Gas and LNG Origination Department is seeking a Senior Gas and LNG Originator to play a key role in the growth and strategic development of Edison’s gas business. The successful candidate will be responsible for originating, structuring, and negotiating spot, medium, and long-term LNG and gas supply contracts for Edison and on behalf of the EDF Group. As a senior member of the Origination team, the candidate will lead commercial initiatives, develop and maintain relationships with key global players in the energy sector, and contribute to optimizing the Group’s gas and LNG portfolio through innovative and integrated supply-demand solutions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Identify, develop, and execute new business opportunities in the gas and LNG markets
  • Establish, manage, and strengthen commercial relationships with international counterparties
  • Negotiate and manage LNG and gas supply contracts, coordinating with internal teams (Gas Optimization/Front Office, Contract Management, Finance, Legal, Shipping)
  • Prepare strategic business cases and presentations for Edison and EDF senior management and investment committees
  • Support internal and external reporting activities, including strategic communications to top management
  • Monitor global market trends and share commercial insights with internal stakeholders to identify and propose new business opportunities

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in the energy sector, with a strong focus on LNG and gas origination
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in complex, international environments
  • Strong negotiation skills and business acumen
  • Proactive, resilient, and self-motivated
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Fluent in English
  • Availability to travel occasionally for international business engagements
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Economics, or Business Management

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of the French language
  • Basic understanding of finance and investment appraisal methods
  • Previous international work, internship, or academic experience
