Senior Gardener

• Hold responsibility for the daily tending to and continued development of our 85 acre estate
• Working primarily in the formal gardens close to the manor
• Delivering great aesthetics through horticulture
• Pro-actively ensure the gardens remain beautiful for guests to enjoy throughout the year
• Showcase and develop horticultural skills across the estate’s herbaceous borders and specimen trees

• Experience as a gardener within Private estates or Large scale public gardens
• Proven horticultural knowledge in herbaceous and ornamental gardens
• Fruit and vegetable, flower and salad production knowledge and skills
• Understanding of a variety of growing techniques and propagation
• A recognized Level 3 horticultural qualification (LANTRA/RHS/City and Guilds)
• Additional relevant tickets eg. PA1, PA6, Chainsaw certificates
• Excellent communication skills within a luxury environment
• Excellent interpersonal, time management and organisational skills
• A desire to learn as well as share knowledge and skills with colleagues
• A genuine passion for horticulture
