Madbox is a fast-growing mobile gaming company. We're excited to open a brand-new studio in Annecy, a beautiful city nestled in the French Alps, perfect for fostering creativity. As part of Madbox, our Annecy studio is built on the same foundational pillars as our other game studios: creativity, collaboration, and innovation. We're seeking passionate mobile game enthusiasts to join our core team, where you'll have significant ownership and a huge impact on shaping our projects. You'll collaborate with former members of the team behind Pocket Champs, our first casual hit, helping to build something extraordinary from the ground up. Job Responsibility:

  • Develop gameplay features with the scaling of the game in mind, including coding, testing, and debugging
  • Write clean, efficient, and self explanatory code
  • As a game maker, create and iterate on innovative prototypes with scalability in mind
  • Collaborate closely with designers, artists, and other developers to help create cohesive and engaging game experiences
  • Support and contribute to new ideas or gameplay improvement

Requirements:

  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality systems quickly and efficiently, without while remaining agile
  • Have clean coding principles in mind and an ability to write sustainable systems
  • Be a true game maker, have a sense of game feel, and be passionate about making games
  • Innovative and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Strong knowledge in Unity including UI, 3D, Addressables and Optimisation for Mobile
  • A true appetite for AI, an experience using Claude for code generation is a big plus
  • Understanding of other game development disciplines, including Design and Art
  • Humble and transparent posture, able to give and receive constructive feedback across all areas
  • Passion for mobile games

Nice to have:

  • Experience manipulating Shaders and FXs in Unity is a big plus
  • Previous experience in scaling a mobile game
