Airswift is looking for a Senior Safety Technical Lead with Autonomous Operations experience to work with one of our clients in Houston, TX. This includes managing a team of technical resources with Functional Safety expertise within autonomous operations and automated projects with an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) focus throughout the Americas. The Technical Lead will be responsible for the management and execution of projects successfully within operational area, and leading appropriately skilled delivery teams, while creating a culture of continuous improvement. The Technical Lead for Functional Safety O&M within the Autonomous Operations Business will report to the Technical Director of Functional Safety, Autonomous Operations, AMERICAS and is responsible for leading aspects of the Autonomous Operations within the focused industries and specific discipline areas.
Job Responsibility:
Support the Regional leadership and Digital COE to adopt and deploy our Functional Safety vision and strategy in key markets
Play an integral role in the development of a Functional Safety Center of Excellence within the marketplace by building and marketing best practices, gaining recognition in the industry and striving to build key customer partnerships
Manage a team with a focus on strong technical expertise and quality for project delivery excellence
Strong Doer / Seller focus is critical to the growth and success of our team and business
Collaborate and develop integrated offerings with client, particularly in O&M
Delivering short to mid-term complex digital customer engagements, typically of multiple weeks duration, that may involve identification of user requirements, solutioning, implementation, change management, value realization and the potential involvement of other digital practices and/or other client's consulting practices
Responsible for leading and managing teams of varying sizes depending on scope, including a mix of full-time employees, contractors and global workshare team to successfully execute projects
Responsible for navigating the client decision-making process, involving and interacting with decision-makers and influencers, and overseeing and preparing proposals and contracts
Always looking for opportunities to meet customer needs and improve client's financial position
Responsible for assisting with sales pursuits, including, but not limited to, sales meetings attendance, assisting in responses to RFP, and conducting short engagements designed to frame a client’s problem statement, plan and sell an engagement, develop client relationships, and demonstrate credibility
Strive for continuous improvement in all aspects and actively looking for opportunities to digitally enable how the practice operates
Requirements:
Must have 10+ years of experience in delivery of projects involving application of Advanced Automation technologies in Functional Safety and develop and integrate multi-technology solutions
Exida (CFSE), TUV or similar Functional Safety certification preferred
Recognized Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Engineering, Electrical, Chemical, Electronics, or Mechanical or related field from an accredited College or University
Project management experience, with a focus on performance improvement and operations strongly preferred
Facilitating workshops, client discovery meetings, strategic advisory / consulting with client is expected for successful work execution
Alarm Rationalization/Management experience is highly preferred
Demonstrable experience with selling through networking
Excellent analytical and research skills, attention to detail, intellectual rigor
Keeps informed on ongoing technological developments with a keen sense of when evolving technology is ready to be implemented at scale
