Job Description

You’ll develop complex apps that are making a material impact on the world and will be seen by millions of users. You’ll develop using Node.js, React and/or Vue and a variety of other supporting technologies. You’ll be a part of agile software development practices and peer/code reviews. You’ll interface with clients. We estimate about 80% hands-on development and 20% client interaction & documentation. Both learn new things from other DEPTsters as well as improve how we do things.

Job Responsibility

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions using NodeJS and Typescript
  • Work extensively with AWS services, including Event Driven Architecture, SQS, Lambda, and DynamoDB
  • Investigate and define requirements for new features and projects, ensuring thorough understanding before delivery
  • Contribute to an Agile team, participating in all phases of the software development lifecycle
  • Develop comprehensive automated unit and integration test suites to ensure code quality and reliability
  • Be able to work on frontend using Vue/Nuxt

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Software Engineering
  • NodeJS
  • Typescript
  • REST APIs
  • Event Driven Architecture
  • AWS (SQS, Lambda, DynamoDB, CloudFormation)
  • Vue / Nuxt or React / Next experience

Nice to have

  • Experience setting up and maintaining projects using Projen and AWS CDK
  • Solid experience working in an Agile team
  • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
  • Strong investigative skills with the ability to determine requirements for successful project delivery
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software testing, including the ability to create automated unit and integration tests
