Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer DeFi Engineer for a technology-first asset management firm operating in decentralized finance (DeFi).

Job Responsibility:

  • Design, build, and iterate on MVPs for DeFi strategy and risk products
  • Model and test leveraged yield, lending, and LP strategies across protocols
  • Analyze and monitor strategy performance using real-time and historical data
  • Work across backend and frontend — but with backend as your core strength
  • Collaborate with product and strategy leads to bring concepts to life, fast
  • Develop tooling to support automated strategy evaluation and risk modeling

Requirements:

  • +5 years of experience in Python
  • + 2years in DeFi
  • Strong knowledge of DeFi market mechanics
  • Deep experience in DeFi protocols like Aave, Spark, Pendle, and others.
  • Experience working with document databases like MongoDB (or similar NoSQL solutions)
  • Proficient with data analysis tools: Pandas, NumPy, and working with time series/performance data
  • Comfortable analyzing risk, performance, and strategy behavior via graphing and modeling
  • Comfortable working independently — you investigate and figure things out without hand-holding
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Backend-first, but with 2+ years of client-side experience using: React (TypeScript)/TailwindCSS/Vite/Zustand (or similar lightweight state managers

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with Solidity and smart contracts — you can read, test, and interact with contracts, even if not a primary Solidity dev
  • Prior experience building or contributing to DeFi strategy engines, portfolio/risk tooling, or strategy simulations
  • Background in mathematics, quantitative finance, or data science
  • Experience with Web3 SDKs and blockchain infrastructure (e.g. The Graph, Infura, Alchemy)
