Embark on a transformative journey as a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer VP – Securitized Products. At Barclays, our vision is clear –to redefine the future of banking and help craft innovative solutions. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the growth of the Securitized Products area. You’ll work directly with Trading and Sales as part of a high‑performing team focused on delivering a best‑in‑class platform that supports all Securitized Products business workflows, leveraging Java, Angular, and AWS. This position offers an outstanding opportunity to take a leading role in a high‑visibility initiative within a fast‑paced environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance
  • Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives
  • Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth
  • Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions
  • Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability

Requirements:

  • Expertise as a programmer with a passion for clean, efficient code using Object Oriented Design principals
  • Advanced Java skills with a thorough understanding of multi-threading
  • Advanced experience working with AWS and related technologies such as ECS, EKS, Kafka
  • Experience of Angular coding and Web Socket implementation for real time systems
  • Experience using Mongo DB to efficiently work with large data sets

Nice to have:

  • Guiding and supporting junior developers
  • Knowledge of creating CI/CD pipelines and implementing automated testing
  • Understanding of Fixed Income products and Electronic Trading workflows
  • Experience with frameworks such as Springboot & Guice
